10/10/07 Wednesday Evening

*You could have heard my voice many times before.  The problem, at that time, was that you were for too judgemental and self condemning.  You cannot hear my voice correctly when you are fearful.  You know that both from your studies and your experience.  First, while fearful, you will misinterpret what you hear.  Second, you will make up another voice to tell you what your “itching” ears want to hear.  And third, you wanted to know way too much about the world of illusions, when, as you know, it is not real to begin with, and you determine what it will be for you.*

*Now your focus is not on the world of illusions, but it is still interested in it.  That is what salvation is all about and what its purpose is for.  You are not to become disinterested in what you see because your role is its correction.  How simple is that?  You have felt from your earliest memories that you have a role in focusing calm into a storm.  Don’t be surprised if you see a storm brewing.*

*By the way, did you enjoy your day and can you see how your list of intentions is shaping your experience?*

*There is a difference between a consciously chosen miracle and an “automatic” miracle.  Both are similar in that they spring up out of your desire to see a situation differently.  A consciously chosen miracle can be construed as a defensive posture…ie. “I want this to happen a praticular way.”  An automatic miracle is more of a request or a prayer (which is its medium, by the way).  It is a request for help.  I cannot help but respond because our Wills are united in such a request.*

*Consciously chosen miracles are similar to magic in that nothing you see is chosen any differently.  An automatic miracle makes progress.  A consciously chosen miracle is just another option that may or may not make progress.*

*You should be happy that I handle the details and you manifest the desire.*

*Today is a good day.*

*You are beginning to see more clearly and your understanding of your function is becoming more pronounced.*

*A teacher of God must be taught that it is he that makes his decisions consciously and that those conscious decisions are the thoughts that determine the world he sees.  You have only just begun to learn that.  You still have doubts….that is common.  You are learning to watch your thoughts carefully.*

*A strong Peace is coming into your awareness today.*

Holy Spirit, what is my function?

*Your role is to be both a teacher and a student.  I will inspire and direct the teaching, you will inspire and direct the learning.  Together we unite and repair the damage that the Son of God thought He did to Himself.  It is simply a unity of thought and purpose.*

*Intend your day. That is what is necessary now.*

10/08/07 Monday Evening

*You are beginning to notice the signs around you.  You accomplished two big changes in the world today.  First you caught yourself judging a situation and you asked for help understanding it.  You noticed strange thoughts coming into your mind and you stopped long enough to ask me, “Where are these thoughts coming from?”  I answered and showed you your judgment which you then quickly forgave.  Second you changed time this evening when you saw the dead hawk in the road.  Much like the feeling of discomfort you felt when your emotions and thoughts were racing, you noticed a sign in the external view, a dead hawk.  You have experienced many live hawks flying toward your vehicle and you rightly interpreted them as good signs.  Now the dead one in your path caused you to ask me, “Should I go this way?”  I replied, “No, turn around and go home.”  This surprised you because you were not expecting it.  You almost ignored me and traveled on anyway.  But again you asked me and my answer was the same,  “Turn around and go home.”  You decided to trust me although you had made other plans.  Remember that you are always making plans and you do not always enjoy the experience of them.  If you had remembered to ask me earlier the answer would have been the same.  As it is you noticed the sign and asked.  Emotions are signs but there are also witnesses.  Today you learned how to deal with both.*

The words I hear

I am a student and a searcher. 

A little over a year ago I started studying A Course In Miracles.  I was practicing lesson 243 when my mind relaxed and my companion and new friend popped into my imagination.  All day long if I needed to make a decision I asked Him.  His answers were good and appropriate.  I have been endeavoring and practicing to improve our communication.  A few weeks ago He began to speak to me in my writing.
